Our mission is simple and powerful: to help writers keep writing. Through creativity, craft, and community, we create space for imagination to take flight—honoring the written word as both an art form and a catalyst for understanding, reflection, and change.

Writing can be magical… and also incredibly solitary. That’s why the Flying Typewriter Society exists. We’re a community of poets, novelists, essayists, journalers, and “I’m-not-sure-what-I-write-yet” writers—coming together to encourage, inspire, and support one another. This is a safe, friendly, creative space—part writing circle, part social network, part cheer squad.

The Flying Typewriter Society is completely free—no dues, no gatekeeping, no pressure. We believe writers of all levels deserve access to encouragement, connection, and creative space. Our website—and our community—is growing. Think of this as an open desk with extra chairs pulled up. Lurk, participate, experiment, or jump right in.
